Your Well-being Is My Passion

About Melissa

I’m a board-certified Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) and Menopause Society Certified Practitioner (MSCP), with post-graduate fellowship training in internal medicine and advanced mentorship in endocrinology from nationally recognized experts. Over my 20+ years in healthcare, I’ve practiced across diverse clinical settings—including intensive care, emergency medicine, internal medicine, endocrinology, and women’s health—caring for patients at their most complex and vulnerable moments.

My focus on menopause care emerged organically at the intersection of endocrinology and women’s health, alongside a growing awareness that midlife women are often underserved by fragmented, rushed, or incomplete care. Too often, symptoms are minimized, concerns are siloed, and the broader health implications of menopause are overlooked.

As a patient, I’ve also experienced firsthand the difficulty of finding knowledgeable menopause care—encountering gaps in expertise, conflicting information, and a lack of truly individualized guidance. That experience sharpened my resolve to practice differently.

I founded My Menopause Care to create a practice where menopause is treated as a meaningful health transition, not a checklist of symptoms—where visits are unhurried, care is evidence-based, and partnership is central. My approach blends rigorous medical training with an integrative, whole-person framework so each woman’s history, physiology, priorities, and lived experience shape the plan we build together.

Outside of clinical work, I’m a mother to two daughters, a caregiver to aging parents, a women’s health advocate, occasional distance runner, volunteer coach, and outdoor enthusiast. These roles keep me closely connected to the realities of modern life and inform how I design care that is both medically sound and sustainable within the complexity of women’s lives.

WORK WITH ME

Our Approach

At My Menopause Care (MMC), we approach menopause as a pivotal stage in a woman’s health—one that deserves time, expertise, and a comprehensive lens. Rather than treating concerns in isolation, we examine how systems intersect and influence one another, allowing us to address what’s happening now while also shaping a healthier trajectory for the years ahead. This perspective moves us beyond fragmented care and toward decisions that are both clinically sound and deeply relevant to your life.

Our guidance is rooted in evidence and clinical judgment, but never applied rigidly. Research informs our care, while your individual physiology, history, and priorities determine how that evidence is used. Extended visit lengths are central to this process, giving us the space to listen carefully, explore nuance, and understand the context behind your symptoms—not just the symptoms themselves. From there, we develop recommendations that are precise, intentional, and tailored to you.

Care at MMC is collaborative by design. Your experiences, values, and preferences are not secondary considerations—they actively shape the plan we create together. We believe informed decisions require more than information alone; they require context, dialogue, and trust. Our role is to offer expert insight, explain options clearly, and partner with you in choosing paths that align with both your comfort level and your long-term health vision.

Ultimately, our approach is about building capacity—not just easing symptoms. Through shared understanding and thoughtful planning, we aim to strengthen your foundation for enduring health, resilience, and well-being across midlife and beyond.
